At CBC Computer Services, we prioritize the security and integrity of your data during the repair process. However, due to the nature of computer repairs, there is always a risk that data may be lost, corrupted, unintentionally compromised or become inaccessible.

 

Please be advised of the following:

1. Customer Responsibility: It is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure that all important data, including but not limited to files, documents, photos, and applications, is fully backed up prior to dropping off your device/equipment. CBC Computer Services will not be held liable for any data loss, or any damages incurred as a result of any data loss/data compromise regardless of the cause/reason.
2. Data Backup: We strongly recommend creating a complete backup of your data before handing over your device. If you are unable to do so, please inform us in advance, and we can offer data backup services for an additional fee, subject to availability. In any event, CBC Computer Services is not held liable for any data loss, regardless of the cause/reason.
3. Repair Process: During the repair process, it may be necessary to reformat your hard drive, replace components, or perform software installations that could result in data loss. By submitting your device for repair, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
4. Data Recovery: In the event of data loss, CBC Computer Services is not responsible for any recovery of data. Should you require data recovery services, these will be offered at an additional cost and are not guaranteed to retrieve all lost data.
5. Acceptance of Terms: By leaving your device(s) with CBC Computer Services, you agree to this Data Loss Disclaimer Policy and acknowledge that CBC Computer Services is not liable for any data loss, or for any damage(s) that may result from any data loss, whether accidental or not.
