Please review this policy before leaving a computer, storage device, or other equipment with CBC Computer Services.
Please be advised
At CBC Computer Services, we prioritize the security and integrity of your data during the repair process. However, due to the nature of computer repairs, there is always a risk that data may be lost, corrupted, unintentionally compromised, or become inaccessible.
Customer responsibility
It is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure that all important data, including but not limited to files, documents, photos, and applications, is fully backed up prior to dropping off your device or equipment. CBC Computer Services will not be held liable for any data loss, or damages incurred as a result of data loss or data compromise, regardless of the cause or reason.
Data backup
We strongly recommend creating a complete backup of your data before handing over your device. If you are unable to do so, please inform us in advance. CBC may offer data-backup services for an additional fee, subject to availability. In any event, CBC Computer Services is not held liable for data loss, regardless of the cause or reason.
Repair process
During the repair process, it may be necessary to reformat your hard drive, replace components, or perform software installations that could result in data loss. By submitting your device for repair, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
Data recovery
In the event of data loss, CBC Computer Services is not responsible for the recovery of data. If you require data-recovery services, those services will be offered at an additional cost and are not guaranteed to retrieve all lost data.
